Random Text OTD

“I stepped my game up to a three (3) piece meal. With two (2) sides.”
I really need to be more selective of who I give my number to…

>HONNNNNNNNNNNNN~
>I think you selected “Francais”

Personally, I think that is a poor career move on her part.

So today it rained here in Southern California after who-knows-how-long-it-has-been. It was nice seeing my car clean for once (truly Henry deserves better than just a rain wash but I’m lazy [Yes. My car’s name is Henry]). Ended up staying in most of the day and played around in Ableton and made a short sample production. Interestingly it reminded me of the theme from Forrest Gump, the 90s X-Men cartoon theme, and some James Bond theme. Not sure what I want to call it yet but “Petrichor” is what I will call it for now.

Erik Satie’s “Gymnopédie No. 1” is probably my favorite piano piece. I love that it’s so simple and ambient. It’s proven to be great inspiration for a track I’ve been working on for a friend who’s having some art exhibit in France some time next year.

The Smile

I’ve been thinking a lot about smiles lately. I’m sure I’ve seen my fair share of smiles over the past 23+ years but only a select few have really burned themselves into my memory. Heck, as I’m writing this I can’t even recall any except one. The smile of this person is infectious. One can’t help but smile when one sees it. It’s so pure, innocent, child-like, and genuine. A smile that makes you wonder if you’ve ever truly been happy in your life or if you ever will.
